You won't be sidetracked by incoming email as easily when Outlook is doing automatic checks less often. The second reason I prefer changing this setting has to do with productivity. (You can use a rule to hold mail for a few minutes, if you want the option to reconsider before sending.)

You can still do manual send and receives during the day, and with Outlook configured to Send Immediately, outgoing mail won't be delayed. There are several benefits to raising the limit, the first being that you won't have to remember to do a manual send and receive, set Outlook offline, or close it. Of the four options here, my preference would be for the last: increase the 'check every xx minutes' time.

    How to cancel a scheduled email in OutlookĪs you can see in the screenshot, scheduled emails in Outlook can be canceled by opening the email and clicking the “cancel send” button.     Scheduled emails in Outlook can be viewed in the drafts folder, ordered by date. If you’re struggling to find the scheduled emails in Outlook, it’s probably because you’re looking in the Outbox.Ĭontrary to what you might expect, scheduled emails are commonly stored in the Drafts folder for Outlook desktop and web clients.
